Warehouse and Plant Safety
Our Approach to Safety

At Matthai Material Handling, our approach to safety training is that it is much more than meeting governmental requirements. Although fines for untrained or undertrained operators have nearly doubled in recent years, there is much more at stake. Providing a safe workplace for your employees is important. After all, their families are counting on us. Forklifts can be dangerous machines, and our job is to ensure that your operators know the equipment, your facility and the safe operating parameters of that combination. As your partner, you count on the trainers at Matthai Material Handling to apply the same commitment to your operators as they do our own team members.

Maintaining a Safe Workplace

Material handling operations can be dangerous. Inadequate training or training from an unqualified source compounds danger in your facility. That’s why partnering with an industry professional with experience in training on all types of equipment in all types of settings makes sense.

No two facilities are exactly alike and we understand this. Our goal is to be certain that your operators not only understand the equipment they operate, but the setting in which they operate.

Mock OSHA Audits
As part of our training, we can conduct a mock OSHA audit to help you identify areas that may not be in regulatory compliance and help you put together a plan to avoid citations and fines. This comprehensive assessment will provide you with feedback about potential safety hazards and help make your facility safer and more productive. Audit cost is based upon facility size and scope of audit.

We’ve trained thousands of forklift operators over the years. Ensuring your operators and pedestrians have a safe workplace is our job.

Experience the power in partnering with Matthai for comprehensive and effective training.

Benefits Beyond a Safe Workplace

In addition to a safer workplace, forklift operator training by Matthai Material Handling will provide other improvements in your business, including:

  • Improved Morale - Employees that know you “have their backs” will  have yours as well by pointing out other areas in your business that can be made safer or more productive.
  • Increased Productivity - Operators that are better trained can operate their equipment more efficiently. Improved efficiency leads to better productivity.
  • Better Care & Increased Useful Life of Your Equipment - Operators that perform proper daily inspections catch small maintenance issues before they become giant repair headaches.
  • Reduced Costs - Fewer accidents, claims and product damage all adds up to an improved bottom line for your business!
